Priscilla Hurst graduated cum laude from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts in mass communication with an emphasis in public relations and minor in psychology. She studied abroad at Richmond, The American International University in London in the summer of 2012.
Priscilla is currently the communication specialist for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Texas and intern for Clearly Classy Events. She previously served as the Public Relations Assistant for Ruben Ruiz, CEO, Award-winning Author and Financial Advisor at Money Concepts and the Ruiz Financial Group. She was also the Public Relations Officer for Mu Epsilon Theta, service sorority. Additionally, she worked as a Promotions Assistant for KTSW 89.9, where she was a member on the blog, social media and creative committees.
During college, she was an active member of the Public Relations Student Society of America, the Association of Women in Communications and Mu Epsilon Theta. She has contributed articles for websites such as The Untz, a music website, and Be Heard Austin/Newsroom Ink, a website for communications professionals. In addition, she has written press releases for Around the World Catering Service.
She has volunteered around her community for organizations such as the Southside Homeless Shelter, the Hays County Food Bank, Adopt-A-Highway, Games for Life, the Texas State Alcohol and Drug Resource Center and the PAWS Shelter and Humane Society.
